Was Linda McMahon’s Resignation from Connecticut Ed Board Linked to Courant’s Story Today?

When you are as busy as I have been recording so many unseemly dimensions of Linda McMahon’s business and political careers, and how they are linked, you can get a forest-and-trees problem.

It had not even occurred to me that McMahon might have timed her resignation from the Connecticut Board of Education — with the explanation that it conflicted with her U.S. Senate campaign — to beat the posse.

But Dave Meltzer, publisher of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, adds the context in his just-published daily website update:

McMahon resigned from the school board the day after she was told the Hartford Courant would be writing [today's] story about her answers to the questions [on the January 2009 disclosure form] when she was being nominated. She said one had nothing to do with the other.
